Rabbi Dovid M. Cohen

Rabbi Dovid M. Cohen served as a pulpit Rabbi for eighteen years in the NY/NJ area and as a scholar in residence around the world.  

​

He earned his law degree from Columbia Law School and a Masters degree in Marital Therapy from the University of North Texas.  

​

He is the author of the book “We’re Almost There: Living with Patience, Perseverance and Purpose,” presenting a pathway for confronting challenges.

His more recent book "Together Again: Reimagining the Relationships that Anchor our Lives" is an exploration of our post pandemic relationships.

​

Rabbi Cohen is the host of the Jewish Philanthropy Podcast ("The JPP") and a Senior Relationship Officer at the Orthodox Union.

​

He is also an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at YU's Sy Syms School of Business.

He is a veteran of thirteen different Passover programs serving as Rabbi & Scholar in Residence.

He resides in N. Woodmere, NY with his wife & 6 children.

Rabbi Aaron Shemtob

Rabbi Aaron Shemtob is a Hazzan and Torah teacher at Shaare Ezra Congregation in Miami Beach, Florida. . He also studies and teaches in a Kollel in Hollywood, Florida. He is the author of the book “LeDavid Ulzaro”(לדוד ולזרעו), an acclaimed commentary on Masechet Sotah. This book has been lauded by Gedolim as revolutionary in that it teaches young people how to study Talmud in depth.

Rabbi Shemtob received his Smichah (Rabbinic ordination) from various Rabbanim including Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef Zatzal and Rabbi Mordecai Eliyahu Zatzal. His extensive studies also include the study of Dayanut for three and a half years In Kollel Aram Soba at the highly regarded Yechaveh Da'at institution in Har Nof, Jerusalem.

Rabbi Shemtob has also enjoyed a career lecturing in synagogues around the United States and abroad, including teaching classes to rabbis-in-training at Midrash Sepharadi in the Old City. He also taught adult classes in Judaic studies at Beth Torah Synagogue in Brooklyn, NY for 10 years.

Rabbi Aaron Shemtob's love  of music was the catalyst which catapulted him into the world of Hazzanut. He was blessed with the privilege of training under three of the top Sephardic cantors in the world, including the world-renown master Rabbi Rephael Yair Elnadav Zatzal. His cantorial experience includes serving as a Hazzan in synagogues across America over the past 20 years. He has also served as Hazzan and lecturer on various Pesach programs.

 

His exposure to both western and middle eastern music gives him a unique and extensive repertoire of tunes as well as a dramatic delivery. His acclaimed CD, entitled Yismach Yisrael (released in 2007) is an example of western music with a middle eastern flavor. 

The combination of his passion  for teaching  along with his extensive  music background makes Rabbi Shemtob a truly unique experience.
